I had the pleasure of visiting a new place the other night with my family in the relatively new SuperTarget shopping center off of Lincoln and Yosemite…thought I’d share.
Via Baci has been open since late ‘08. It is about 5 minutes east of Highlands Ranch just off Lincoln. Serving genuine, all fresh, pastas and wood fired pizzas, this place is a hidden gem. Diners will recognize the pizza ovens as this is a sister restaurant of Woody’s Wood Fired Pizza. Although I don’t remember Woody’s pizza being quite this good. Other sister restaurants include Rialto Cafe and Table Mountain Inn.
The menu is what you might expect from an authentic Italian place but with a couple of twists and daily specials keeping things fresh and updated. Its not a speghetti joint that’s for sure! They also have a full compliment of beer, wine and other adult libations. The wine menu is extensive!
Several specials will entice the first time diner but the food, service and coziness of the place will keep us coming back. Be sure to check out “Bambino Sundays” when kids under 9 eat for free! Tuesdays and Thursdays are 50% off wine! Nice!
A word to the wise. They don’t have many tables (the only issue to be sure) so when winter hits it can get a little crowded and the place fills up quickly. If you’re on a schedule, get there early or late for the best chance at a table without having to wait. If you aren’t, get a nice glass or bottle of your favorite wine and watch the guys and gals in the kitchen prepare the good stuff! Chat with the friendly staff and meet a new friend or two. In the summertime they have a huge, west facing patio that almost doubles seating capacity.
